The word selfie was first used during the early My Space days before Facebook was around or popular. It means the picture on takes of themselves using their own camera. During 2010 they started becoming popular.
This happened partly because iphone4 copied a cell phone design using a Korean and Japanese cell phone. It was a mobile phone photo app. Such as an instagram. Americans started using it and taking pictures of themselves. It caught on in poularity and in 2012 Times Magazine noted that selfie was one of the top ten "Buzz" words of the year. This year selfie especially sexy selfie has been named the word of the year.
These type of photos have caught on with Hollywood Celebrities and now the sexy selfie is the most popular way of having their photos taken. Most of the celebrities are taking selfies of themselves in the sexiest poses they can. Celebrities like Kate Upton, Kim Kardashian and Shemar Moore use these photos to show off there ample bosoms.
Kim Kardashian uses these photographs to show off her line of clothing and accessories, especially the line of sunglasses she has. Sofia Vergara shows her face and designer sunglasses off in this way also. In a recent published selfie the TV star is showing herself in a designer bathing suit ,vacationing in Spain. Her face is complemented by beautiful brown sunglasses. Lady Ga Ga is another celebrity that uses selfies to show off her fashion designs including her own line of sunglasses. When she is not wearing her own designer sunglasses she wears a pair of Jackie Os. Shemar Moore is one of the few male celebrities that know the value of stylish sunglasses. He looks hot in his selfie with his bare torso and cyclers outfit. The cycler’s sunglasses draw more attention to his face than if he wasn't wearing them.
